I’m really excited about 4th of July this year. Scott’s birthday is on the 5th and I just feel like everything should be extra special this weekend.
Here are some cookout menu ideas with everything from appetizers, cocktails to desserts – ALL made on the grill. Many of these recipes are patriotic such as my ever popular red, white and blue cobbler that uses seasonal berries and is easy-peasy to make on the grill using a cast iron skillet. In fact, don’t be surprised if people ask you to make these recipes again next year!
- As I was snapping the photo, the fire crackled and I caught it in the shot! Jalapenos + prosciutto + havarti = heaven!
- Bacon + Jalapeno + deviled eggs= need I say more?
- Cognac burgers from Contributing writer and Chef Jesse Black. Photo by Creative Commons.
- Coconut Lime Butter + Grilled Corn = legal crack.
- These kebabs are full of flavor- like a meatball on a stick!
- This is a healthier, herbed potato salad that is bursting with flavor from fresh herbs and smoke from the grill!
- Red White and blue cobbler baked on the grill.
- Assemble a fun smores bar for a fun dessert to make after a cookout. Grill-side marshmallow roasting is a fun after dinner activity with friends!
- I LOVE SMORES!! My favorite all time dessert!!!
