  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp triple sec
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 4 eggs slightly beaten
  • 2-3 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ cup sugar coconut sugar would a healthier option
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  • Mix the milk, vanilla and triple sec and orange zest.
  • In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs.
  • Slice the bread in ¾” thick slices.
  • Soak the bread in the milk mixture for about 8-10 minutes.
  • Heat your griddle to medium high and add your coconut oil and get ready to fry the bread.
  • After soaking in the milk mixture, gently pick up the the bread and dip into the egg mixture.
  • Dip the bread in the egg mixture and then place on the griddle and let cook on one side until nice and golden brown. Repeat on the other side.
  • Line a plate with paper towels and place bread slices on the paper towels after you pull them off the griddle.
