Description
Adding Floribbean inspired mango black bean salsa turns this grilled sausage dog into a Floribbean Hot Dog, pairing spicy smoked sausage with the flavors of coriander lime infused mango and black bean salsa, on a soft Hawaiian bun with a layer of “secret sauce.”
Ingredients
Mango Black Bean Salsa:
- 2 8 oz. cans of black bean salsa
- 3 mangos
- 1/2 large red onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp. lime juice
- 1 tbsp. coriander
- Large bunch cilantro
- Dash chipotle powder
- Dash salt
Plus:
- 2 Zatarain’s Andouille Smoked Sausages
- 2 Hawaiian Hot Dog Buns
Secret Sauce
- 1.5 tbsp. mayo
- 1 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. mustard
Salsa makes 8 servings, hot dogs makes 2 extra large dogs or 4 smaller hot dog servings
Instructions
Salsa:
Combine all ingredients and refrigerate until read to serve.
Hot dogs:
- Prepare your grill for direct heat, 350 degrees.
- Grill the hot dogs for 3-4 minutes per side or until char marks have formed.
- Toast hot dog buns for last few minutes.
- Layer a generous amount of secret sauce on the buns. Add the sausage and then add the mango black bean salsa. Serve with a lime wedge.
