Description

Adding Floribbean inspired mango black bean salsa turns this grilled sausage dog into a Floribbean Hot Dog, pairing spicy smoked sausage with the flavors of coriander lime infused mango and black bean salsa, on a soft Hawaiian bun with a layer of “secret sauce.”


Ingredients

Scale

Mango Black Bean Salsa:

  • 2 8 oz. cans of black bean salsa
  • 3 mangos
  • 1/2 large red onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. coriander
  • Large bunch cilantro
  • Dash chipotle powder
  • Dash salt

Plus:

  • 2 Zatarain’s Andouille Smoked Sausages
  • 2 Hawaiian Hot Dog Buns

Secret Sauce

  • 1.5 tbsp. mayo
  • 1 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. mustard

Salsa makes 8 servings, hot dogs makes 2 extra large dogs or 4 smaller hot dog servings


Instructions

Salsa:

Combine all ingredients and refrigerate until read to serve.

Hot dogs:

  1. Prepare your grill for direct heat, 350 degrees.
  2. Grill the hot dogs for 3-4 minutes per side or until char marks have formed.
  3. Toast hot dog buns for last few minutes.
  4. Layer a generous amount of secret sauce on the buns. Add the sausage and then add the mango black bean salsa. Serve with a lime wedge.
