Win a Thermapen, Weber Smokey Joe and FireQube for ultimate grilling success this Superbowl Sunday! Winner is announced this Wednesday.

Win a Thermapen, Weber Smokey Joe and FireQube for ultimate grilling success this Superbowl Sunday! Winner is announced this Wednesday morning.

My favorite thing about the Superbowl is not the game, I really don’t care about the game so much but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE eating copious amounts of finger food! And of course drinking beer with good friends over funny commercials! (of course this year I’ll be drinking Odoul’s but even more reason as to why the food is so important!). And to celebrate the opportunity to grill some of my favorite recipes like my West Indies Wings, Chipotle Sriracha Wingss, Jalapeno Poppers, or my Cheesy Enchilada Dip– it’s time to do a #giveaway of some of my favorite grilling gadgets.

First things first, the Weber Smokey Joe is the ultimate portable charcoal grill – perfect to take to a friends house to watch the game. As an FYI, even though I have 8 other grills, I often still use my little Smokey Joe ($30 value) because I love the smokey flavor it gives all food (like this fire roasted gazpacho!). Pair that with the best of the best of the best of digital thermometers- the superfast instant read Thermapen (value $90), which is a necessity for any serious griller. AND, my friends at Grill-Easy are throwing in a FireQube so you have the perfect amount of charcoal, ready to go at your next cookout with no large messy bag to lug around.

How to win this giveaway? Easy Peasy! Just leave a comment below on what you plan on grilling for the Superbowl. Please not that I will give extra special attention if you plug this giveaway on twitter or your various social networks! Sharing is Caring! This giveaway has a total value of $130!

I will announce the winner Wednesday morning, January 28th, so we can get your gear shipped to you, hopefully in time for Superbowl Sunday!

Wings are my all time favorite thing to grill, so we’ll have a few flavor options to choose from (a Sriracha garlic cilantro, some form of ‘BBQ’ sauced, and maybe one of the wing flavors you mention in your post) and perhaps a rack of St. Louis spares for the wife and I to share. We don’t care for either team, so it’s all about the food, drink, and commercials this year. Thanks for the great recipes!

Smoking Wings for 3 hours, then finishing them up on the grill. Then I put them in a special sauce of mine that includes Durkees and has hints of Blue Cheese. The last step is a quick toss in the oven to get the sauce a little tacky so it sticks to the wings.

Candy - January 27, 2015 Reply

It is one of our trade secrets, but I can tell you it is a marinated slaw. We make it about a week before, and it will keep for weeks. Also that it does not get it’s red color from ketchup or bbq sauce.

You see it at our website.

Alan Bowman - January 28, 2015 Reply

Robyn…we’re making traditional hot wing sauce with homemade blue cheese dip, Cole’s Sweet Velvet bbq sauce kicked up with a little bourbon and white wine/lemon/butter sauce to finish out the trio. Pig shooters/shots are disks of kielbasa wrapped with bacon to form a ‘shot glass’. That’s filled with your favorite jalapeno popper style mixture and smoked.

Rod Mongenel - January 28, 2015 Reply

The question would be more of what am I “NOT” grilling for Superbowl???

Rhonda Hollis - January 28, 2015 Reply

My first time doing pig shots, but you take 1/4″ slice of kielbasa and wrap in 1/2 slice of bacon so that it forms a shot glass. Fill with cream cheese and cheese combo. Sprinkle with brown sugar, BBQ rub and chili powder. Cook indirect around 300 for an hour-ish until bacon is crispy. Also, here is a link to Chris’ armadillo eggs http://www.nibblemethis.com/2012/03/moink-balls-armadillo-eggs-and-sea.html.
